On Stage is located in Cedar City and ?NOW? also in St.George, Utah and is under the direction of Heather Sprouse. On Stage emphasizes teaching correct dance technique, team building, and promoting self-esteem, in a positive environment.
On Stage teaches jazz, lyrical, ballet, tap, hip hop, modern, cheer, tumbling and Ballroom. Dancers range from 3 years of age through adult. On Stage Director, Heather Sprouse continually attends professional dance conventions including New York Dance Alliance, Company Dance, Tremaine, Thunderstruck and The Pulse and has taken classes in New York City to keep On Stage on the cutting edge of choreography and dance technique. On Stage is Accredited and Certified by Dance Teacher Now and Broadway Dance Center.
On Stage believes in not just the quality of teaching the skills of dance but the love of dance as well as helping develop great young people and talented dancers. On Stage is not just about dancing, it is about students learning and growing into responsible and respectable hardworking dancers.

On Stage is well renowned in Southern Utah for their superior performing and technical skill level. On Stage performs at dance reviews, community events, fundraisers, and several competitions throughout the state of Utah.
*Placed 2nd, 2nd, and 3rd at the Las Vegas Tremaine Convention where studios were represented from across the United States and where two On Stage dancers were chose for Scholarships for Tremaine out of 400 Senior dancers in 2008.
*Overall Lyrical Performance at Dance America's Spring Fling 2008.
*Overall Studio High Point Champions at Las Vegas Spectacular 2008.
*Overall Studio Sweepstakes winner of the Mohey Tawa Competition 2008,
*Qualifier for the ESPN2 Nationally broadcast Company Dance Convention Nationals.
*High Point Champions three times at Dance America competitions, where they received the highest score out of over 100 competing routines.
*2005 recipient of the Grand Champion High Point at Champion Productions competition held in St.George, Utah where they competed against teams from all over the state of Utah.

Heather's dancers are continually chosen as Dance Sterling Scholars for the local high schools, with many chosen as runner ups to Regional Sterling Scholars. Heather is proud of the many accomplishments but mostly because the On Stage dancers may have many awards but their passion and love of dance is much greater and important. |

Heather
Sprouse, MBA Owner/Artistic Director of Cedar City and St.George
Heather has been trained in tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, modern, hip-hop, ballroom, and gymnastics for over 30 years. She has been developing young dancers for over 15 years. Heather currently maintains her training by attending professional dance conventions and attending classes in New York City. She has studied and trained with Brian Friedmen, Mia Michaels, Wade Robson, Joe Tremaine, Joe Lanteri, Doug Caldwell, Desiree Robbins, Chris Judd, Rhapsody, Marty Dew, Shane Sparks, Laurie Ann Gibson and many more. Heather is currently certified and accredited by Dance Teacher Now, and Broadway Dance Center.
Heather spent over seven years working for Universal Dance Association as a head instructor and choreographer; teaching across the United States. She is an experienced judge including judging for the nationally televised ESPN National Dance Championships.
Heather professionally choreographs in her spare time for solos, duets, and dance programs throughout Utah. Her choreography has won regional, state and national awards.
While keeping busy with dance Heather received her Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Southern Utah University, and earned her Masters of Business Administration Degree from Utah State University. In her spare time she loves to shop, travel and competes as a Pro/Am Latin Ballroom Competitor. She currently is Adjunct Faculty in the Dance Department of Dixie State College. Heather directs, instructs, and choreographs for all the teams at On Stage in Cedar and St.George and loves having the opportunity to share her love of dance with her students.

Erika Hansen - Jazz Instructor/Personal Assistant to Heather
If there's one thing that everyone knows, it's that Erika loves to dance. She started dancing at On Stage at the age of eight, and hasn't stopped since. She is a well-rounded dancer and has taken jazz, lyrical, ballet, hip-hop, contemporary, and continues to expand her dance training. She has attended many professional dance conventions including New York Dance Alliance, Tremaine and The Pulse. She recently attended The Pulse Teacher’s Workshop in New York City where took master classes and seminars from the top dance instructors from Broadway Dance Center as well as Mia Michaels, Brian Friedmen, Wade Robson and more. Erika is currently certified and accredited by Broadway Dance Center and Dancer Teacher Now.
Erika was a member of On Stage as a dancer holding Captain Position’s during her time on the Elite, Senior and Premier Elite teams, as well as an active soloist, and duet competitor. While at On Stage Erika was chosen as Dancer of the Year by her studio teammates as well as Miss Congenial for 4 years in a row. While in high school she was on the cheerleading squad and dance team in high school, where she received many awards and got to share her talent with the community. She was All-Academic Drill Team Member, as well as Cedar High's Dance Sterling Scholar. Erika currently teaches at On Stage as well as being Heather's personal assistant for Cedar City and St.George. She is a sophomore at Southern Utah University majoring in Pre-med on her way to becoming a dermatologist. She is the current Miss Iron County 2008, and is excited to be a part of On Stage now and for years to come. On Stage is so glad to have Erika continue with the studio where she is adored and loved by the students and continues to set a great example to the students of On Stage.

Janene McCurdy - Jazz/Modern Instructor for Cedar City
Janene McCurdy is originally from Grace, Idaho where she was a clogger for three years, a member of Grace High School Drill Team, and helped establish a local dance studio with her sister teaching jazz, tap, ballet and point. She began her training under the direction of Valeen Tueller and Tina Comadena at the Tueller School of Dance in Logan, Utah. Janene studied ballet, jazz, tap and pointe. It was with The Tueller Dance School that Janene toured to New York City, Las Vegas, Florida, and South Carolina attending Hoctors Dance Caravan. At the caravan, Janene was offered the Hoctors Caravan Kid award and was invited to tour with their faculty and staff. Janene competed in many dance competions and her team was awarded as National Grand Champions.
After high school she was awarded a two year dance scholarship to Utah State University where she was a member of The Sunburst Singers and Dancers. There she performed in the productions of the Glenn Miller Show, "A Moonlight Serenade" and "When America Sings". She toured with the Sunburst team in locations such as Clorinda, Iowa, Sun Valley, Rexburg, Burley, Idaho, Salt Lake City, and performed for a week at the Tuacahn Theatre in St. George Utah.
She continued her dance education at Southern Utah University, studying under Shauna Medini, Gwen Grimes, Paul Ocampo, and Kay Anderson. Janene was selected to attend the American College Dance Festival in Long Beach, California, where their group was one of the few chosen to perform in the final Gala Concert. She was a student choreographer for the concert "Breaking Boundaries", and involved in many of the faculty dance concerts. She was a member of the SUU Waukeenyan Drill team for one year. She achieved her Bachelor's degree in Dance Education with a Health Emphasis.
Janene now resides in Cedar City, Utah and has been an assistant drill team advisor for Parowan, Canyon View, and Cedar High school. In 2007 she helped Cedar High Mohey Tawa's reach their goal of Region Champions. She maintains her training by teaching and choreographing for On Stage Dance Studio. Janene annually attends "The Pulse" workshop in Las Vegas, which allows her to dance with the panel of judges and choreographers for the hit show "So You Think You Can Dance." The panel included: Mia Michaels, Chris Judd, Dave Scott, Brian Friedmann, Wade Robson, Laurie Ann Gibson and Shane Sparks. Janene and her husband Ty love living in Cedar with their three beautiful children Talon, Tanley, and Jaeda. On Stage is proud to have Janene as an instructor, she is very innovative and dedicated into to dance education and providing quality instruction.

Robyn Williams-Hip hop/Jazz-Cedar City
Robyn has loved dancing from a very early age. She started in ballroom and competed on a award winning team that traveled nationally. After six years of competitive ballrom she wanted to learn more. Robyn began training in ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap, modern and lyrical styles. She danced for the Pleasant Grove Drill Team and Dance Company for three years. Dance is Robyn's sanctuary but choreography is her passion. She has had several opportunities to
choregraph for parades, assembles, solos and high school companies.
Robyn is currently attending SUU where she danced as a Waukeenyan and currently is performing with the SUU Ballroom Tour Company. She is excited to be teaching at On Stage and feels priveledged to work with these amazing students. On Stage is also excited to have her, she brings an amazing energy and enthusiasm to her classes. |

Josi Russell - Cheer/Tumbling Instructor for Cedar City
Josi was born and raised in Cedar City and is currently a cheerleader at Southern Utah University. She was a member of the Canyon View High School Cheer squad from 2003-2007. During her four years of cheer the CVHS cheerleaders placed no lower than 4th in nationals three years in a row, and placed 1st at state two of those years. During high school Josi received an All State Award in cheerleading. She served as the Varsity Head Cheerleader both her Junior and Senior year, making her the first in CV history to be head cheerleader two years in a row. Josi has been tumbling sense she was six years old. Josi has been coaching tumbling for 5 years. During high school she accomplished the highest level tumbling skill allowed for high school cheerleaders. Josi believes that success only comes from hard work and dedication, and is excited to help her students reach their goals. On Stage is excited to have Josi instructing the cheer and tumbling program at On Stage and excitement she will bring to the On Stage family. |

Stephanie Terry - Ballet/Point Instructor for Cedar City
Stephanie fell in love with dancing at the age of 4. She began her training in classical ballet at Ballet Arts of Southern Utah under the direction of Gretchen Rowe, at the age of 7. She extended her training at the BYU Summer Intensive for 3 years, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet Intensive, Nevada Ballet Theater, and Arizona Ballet Academy. Stephanie is currently in her junior year at SUU, and is working towards finishing her degree in Dance Performance. While attending SUU, Stephanie has also found her new love for modern dance and has performed with the student modern dance company, Orchesis. Stephanie has performed in numerous ballets such as: The Nutcracker, Les Sylphide, Swan Lake, and Sleeping Beauty. She has also performed in SUU Student Dance Concerts and Faculty Dance concerts as well. Stephanie loves to perform and hopes to bring her love of ballet to On Stage. On Stage is happy to have Stephanie at the studio and already is loved by the students. |

Mark Baker - Ballroom Instructor for Cedar City
Mark received his BA in Ballroom Dance in 2005 from Brigham Young University. During his time at BYU he trained and performed with the BYU Ballroom Dance touring company. Mark has toured extensively throughout the United States, Western Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific. In 2004 and 2005 Mark won two US Ballroom Dance Latin Formation titles as well as winning the prestigious Blackpool England Latin Formation Title in 2004.
Mark is currently the Director of Ballroom Dance at Southern Utah University where he has taught and grown the successes of the ballroom dance program there. Previous to coming to SUU, Mark taught for BYU for 5 years and UVU for one year. Mark is currently a US Ballroom Dance professional and travels to compete all over the US and internationally. He has won numerous competitions and is a highly sought after teacher throughout Utah and across the United States. He brings a tremendous amount of experience and teaching expertise gained from an extensive professional performing and teaching career. And he can shake his hips like you can't believe. On Stage is excited to be adding Ballroom to its class schedule and there is nobody better to be running the Ballroom classes.

Jenna Sandall - Jazz/Ballet Instructor for St.George
Jenna was born dancing! In Sandy, UT she began lessons at the age of three with ballet and tap. As her love for dance progressed, she expanded her interests in the styles of modern, jazz, hip-hop, pointe, lyrical, tumbling, ballet, and contemporary. At age 8 she began choreographing her own solos and duets, and won several awards for her talent. Jenna has had many opportunities to travel and perform in some very cool places, such as at half time of the Holiday Bowl in California, the Stadium of Fire, and at the Statue of Liberty in New York City. While in New York, she also took professional Broadway classes and attended several Broadway plays that she will never forget. Jenna moved to St. George in 2000; while attending Snow Canyon she was a member of the Eshelles for 3 years operating as Jr. Drill Captain & Sr. Drill Captain. As a member of the Eshelles, her team won 2 Regional Championships and 1 State Title! Senior year, Jenna was selected as the Dance Sterling Scholar; she also competed in the Jr. Miss Pageant and was presented with the “Miss Overall Fitness” award.
Jenna was on Rebelettes at Dixie State College for two years, and was voted President her sophomore year. In her third year of college, she took several dance classes and participated in the DSC Dance Company Concert. To maintain her training and to learn new innovative techniques, Jenna continues to expand her knowledge of dance by attending dance camps & conventions in L.A., Las Vegas, Logan, and New York City. She has trained with choreographers including: Wade Robson, Joe Tremaine, Doug Caldwell, Desiree Robbins, Keri Lagrand, Marty Dew, Nick Drago, Jeff Amsden, Benji Shwimmer, Sabrina Bryan, and more!
Although dance is her life, Jenna also excels scholastically. Maintaining a 4.0 GPA throughout College, Jenna has been a member of the National Dean’s List for two consecutive years. She is employed at Coldwell Banker Premier Realty as the Media Manager and at On Stage Dance Studio as an instructor. Jenna absolutely adores traveling, rollercoasters, shopping, and movies. When she’s not dancing, you can find her studying, working, or relaxing! Jenna enjoys having the opportunity to influence children to express themselves in an active atmosphere, and she loves teaching at On Stage! On Stage is lucky to have Jenna on staff and the excitement she brings to teaching her classes as well as continually educating herself in dance.

Erin Brophy - Jazz Instructor for St.George
Erin is from Taylorsville, Utah. She is trained in many different genre’s of dance including jazz, ballet, hip-hop, lyrical, modern, contemporary, and pom. In high school, she was the captain of the Nationally-Ranked Taylorsville Drill Team and served as a member of the 5A All-State Drill Team. Erin was awarded Sterling Scholar in the Dance Division for her school. After graduation, she made the move to St. George to attend Dixie State College on an academic and dance scholarship. Erin is a Communications major and is excited to graduate this spring. She is an employee for the Universal Dance Association where she teaches high school dance camps across the west coast during her summers. This is Erin’s 4th year studio teaching and her 3rd year teaching in St. George. Along with studio teaching, she has judged many regional dance team tryouts and competitions including Sterling Scholar Auditions for the local high schools. Erin spent this past summer in China teaching ballet at Zhong Xin Academy of Art. She was recently awarded “Dance Star” by renowned choreographer Tony Gonzales at the USA College/Pro Team Dance Camp. Erin was featured in last years Odyssey performance of “Thriller” at Tuacahn. She now serves as the Choreographer of Dixie State College Rebelettes Dance Team where her love of dance is shown through their performances. On Stage is excited to have Erin instructing jazz where her continued training and dedication to dance education can be utilized in instructing the dancers at On Stage.

Kylee Steele - Ballet/Point Instructor for St.George
Kylee Steele has been dancing for over 16 years. She was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona and received most of her dance training there. Kylee has studied ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, hip hop, break-dance, modern, musical theater and Irish step dancing. She started teaching dance at the very early age of 14. She has always found a great joy in watching others grow. When she was 15 years old she tried out for the Joffrey Ballet Company and was asked to train with them in New York City for 2 consecutive summers. While living in New York she took advantage of all the great dance studios including Broadway Dance Center, Steps, Alvin Ailey and much more. Kylee loves and teaching and is so happy to be apart of On Stage Dance Studio. On Stage is equally excited to have Kylee instructing and is loved by her Ballet students.
