All boys that take ballroom classes in Cedar or St.George will now only pay 1/2 price on tuition   Girls love boys who know how to dance!

Cedar-Company Parents Meeting :) Notes are Here!

All company parents will need to attend a meeting either Monday at 5:30 or Wed 4:30 or 6:30, Elite team parents will need to attend the Wed 5:30 meeting.  This is for all team members.

Company Parents Meeting Notes:                                                                                September, 2009

 

• Welcome any new parents.  I am soooooo excited for this year and all the great ideas that the instructors and myself have for the dancers.  We have remodeled all the studios and put in all floating floors in all the studios and are “Celebrating our 15^th year” as a studio and I am so thankful to all of you for what you have all contributed to making this happen and to where the studio has come and where it is going.  My goal has always been to improve each and every year!  We have focused on making all the classes better suited to serve your dancer to the best of their ability and put them where they will learn at the most productive level as well as giving instructor’s assistants so they can walk around more and provide even greater one on one attention.  We are definitely going into this year with keeping in mind our economy and helping in every possible way to help our families out as well.
• Make sure you have Read the “Rules and Regs”, it is listed online to read through again if you would like. 
• Also make sure your dancer is dressed appropriately for all classes, those who do not wear requirements for ballet will be asked to sit and watch and not participate.
• Important ways to keep informed:  Make sure if you aren’t receiving emails from On Stage you send Heather your email address.  All info is constantly updated on our website and on the online calendar as well.
• Make up: While we will still provide studio make up, due to many peoples personal preference to have their own.  I will make a list of the requirements for makeup which will include: eye shadow (will give you palate to buy), black eyeliner, eyelashes, mascara, and specific color and brand of lip stick.  As well as give you how make up is to be done for performances.
• Costuming:  Angela and I will be picking a few ideas once music has been selected and costume books have come in.  While we have stated $65 per costume, some costumes may be less depending on the style of dance and what kind of costuming we are doing.
  • We have kept the same earrings, necklaces, body tights, Carmel pedini t-strap shoes, foot mittens and warm-ups.  So if you have all those items (and are in good shape) you do not have to buy.  Everyone must bring in earrings and necklaces to check off with Heather. 
  • Please remember if you haven’t ordered your dance attire for classes, it does need to be done immediately.  I do have Discount Dance Coupons for you to receive a 10% discount on your order by using our studio number when you order.
  • We will do an order form for those who do need to buy warm-ups (pants, jackets or both), earrings and necklaces.  All other items you are responsible to obtain.

                                                                 

• Competitions:  We would like to remain going to Dixie Jam April 10th, and Champions (TBA) both are located in St.George.  *Elite Teams will attend Spring Fling in Provo (Mar 19^th & 20^th) and we will be attending Tremaine in Vegas (not competing) July 28-30.
• Recitals will be Dec 15^th rehearsal and Dec 16^th recital, and end of the year recital is May 15^th all day.  Both will be held at CVHS.

 

Costume Estimates:   *required by all members, ** is for new student only or those who need replacements

*Costumes approx. $65 each (Due Nov 19^th)

*Misc. – will be getting company tube socks, scarves, and accessories $30 (Due Oct 15^th)

**Warm-up and bag (looking for a wheeled bag to replace) (new students only)-$25 pants, $65 jacket, and $35 bag. (Due Oct 15th)

Our Dancer of the month for September is……..

St.George-Riley Randall

Riley is our dancer of the month.  Riley has been with On Stage a few years now and has really made improvement as well as working hard and being an integral part of her team.  She was a dedicated dancer during this past summer and was last summer as well and her teachers do believe that is what keeps giving her the edge.  Thank you Riley for your hard work

‘Dance for the Cure’ Elite Performance!

Elite team will be performing at ‘Dance for the Cure’ at SCHS on Oct 26th, the performance will be at 6pm and then we will drive over to Thriller preshow.  All Elite members will meet at Tuachan at 5pm dressed and ready to go to rehearse for preshow then we will go to SCHS for Dance for the Cure performance.
